It’s my 1 year YouTube Anniversary. Woo!
Here’s what I’ve learned from doing YouTube consistently for one whole year. But this isn’t just about celebrating my win. No. This is about me celebrating you! Without you being here I wouldn’t really have a need or desire to show up each week and keep creating helpful content that spurs you on to have the style and life you dream of.
We’ve grown the channel to nearly 700 subscribers, have 58 videos, over 48,000 views, dozens and dozens of comments, and even one viral video.
I couldn’t be prouder and you inspired me to keep going.
What I’ve learned is that you can have a dream for years and not let yourself take action on it for various reasons. So I’m sharing the things I learned that helped push me forward to taking action on my dream, and how YouTube has changed me. Plus, I’m excited to share some goals I have for 2019.

A year ago I could not believe that I was still putting off my dream of starting a YouTube channel. Now, when I look back it seems so simple. Just do it! Imperfectly. Make a bunch of B- work and eventually you’ll get to the A+ work. We all have to start somewhere.
The longer I kept putting it off, the more painful the dream became until I decided to go all in and use what I had (time, tech, and knowledge).
If you’re putting off a dream, then you need to watch this video babe!

Ok, so this may be my fave video from you yet. :):) LOVE all the encouragement and thought-provoking words like ‘from a place of self-acceptance instead of narcissism or self-hatred’… all the feels on that. I think a French style focus would be great from you, the fact that you confidently (and very well too I might add) rock espadrilles in the winter is Boss level awesome, so you definitely have a unique and positive edge on this facet of style. Simple style is great too, tho! Maybe both? Anyhoot, heading over to the FB group page shortly. 😉 🙂 Cheers to a wonderful new year and all the opportunities ahead. Best, Lesley

Hey babe!
Thanks so very much for your encouraging words as well. It means the world to me. Glad to hear that a French-style themed course may be a good idea. I think there’s something there to look at more deeply.
Perhaps you’re right about both of them. I was thinking that what I’d like to include in Simple Style would be all the teachings and philosophies from French style. So the shell may stay the same but the inside core teachings and offerings would be more in line with what I’m great at. What do you think?
Talk soon – I owe you an Instagram message!
