I’ve been dreaming of doing this for years. After much encouragement from friends and my mentor, I’ve decided to start a new weekly series on my blog dedicated to showing you simple ways to style gorgeous outfits using ethical, conscious, and sustainable fashion brands.
Weekly Style Edit Edition #001
It’s been a passion of mine to collect and curate for as long as I can remember. And when working with my clients, it’s the #1 thing that I hear most often: I would never have put that together!
Here’s what you can always count from these edits:
- they will always be at least 90% ethical
- they will always be simple and minimal
- they will always be unique and artful
- and they will always be for every woman’s body type and age
This week’s style edit is a simple outfit to take you from Summer to Fall. Here in Tennessee, the leaves are all about Fall, but the temps haven’t got the message yet. To stay cool I recommend natural fibers, lightweight layers, and breathable shoes.
one / / Carla Colour Sunnies
These sunglasses, from minimalist Brooklyn based designer Carla Colour, are everywhere right now. Even Ann Taylor Loft is carrying them at their new brand Lou & Grey. I have no clue how these would actually look on someone’s face.
The intense circular frame might be too much for some. If so, check out their other styles. I’m obsessed with these though. If you like purple, you can score a deeply discounted pair at Lou & Grey.
two / / Vintage Levis 501xx via eBay
So here’s the deal with these guys. I love them, but they are a fantasy purchase! Why do they look so perfectly vintage and worn? Because they are. These are authentic 1950’s Levi’s 501 XX with the big E.
Which basically translates to expensive as hell. I found these on eBay. But you can do a quick search on eBay or Etsy for “Vintage Levi’s 501” and your waist size. Levi’s are the best jeans in the world. They last for decades and get better with time.
I’ll be talking about vintage jeans do’s and don’ts in another post, so if you don’t want to miss that be sure to get on my email list.
three / / Rani Ban Naked Moon T via Moorea Seal
You guys! I love this T-Shirt so much. I’m not super familiar with the designer, but I found it on Moorea Seal’s website. She’s the gal that won my heart when she published her 52 Lists Project.
four / / Castaner Carina Espadrille
You know how I love French girl style, right? Well, an essential item in the capsule wardrobe of most French women is a pair of espadrilles. I’m super into these from Castaner. I like that they are black on black, but you can find them in basically any color or material you like.
A client of mine wasn’t loving the ankle wrap, but I honestly think this is sexy on any woman.
five / / Muji Organic Cotton Washed Coat
I’m betting you’ve never heard of the Japanese brand Muji before.
That’s got to change right now! If you’re into practical basics in every area of life then you will fall hard for Muji. They have almost everything you can think of needing like journals, pens, night lights, and luggage. But also have an incredible line of basics for men and women, like this organic cotton duster!
Swoon! I’m a sucker for workwear.
six / / Baggu Circle Purse
This is my nod to the season. Whatever this color is, let’s call it pumpkin spice latte, I love it. And the fact that it’s in suede is even better. Baggu has been around for a while, but they’ve seriously upped their style game over the years.
To me, this is a classic piece that will never go out of style.
In conclusion
I hope you’ve been inspired by the first edition of the Weekly Style Edit! I’ve been inspired just by creating it to be more conscientious about what I allow in my closet this Fall.
All of the items I’ve selected are classic. Meaning they’ll never go out of style and as a bonus, they can easily be worn from season to season depending on what you style them with. Keep it simple, my dear!

As a heads up, I’ve started thinking it’s time to earn a bit of income from my blog.
Last week, I recommended a book and made a whole $12.03 from affiliate commission! Woop! I never thought I’d make a dime, but would have been thrilled even with a dime. So twelve bucks is phenomenal to me.
Some of the links in this post are affiliate links. You don’t have to click on them or use them at all. It’s no pressure. I just want to be totally transparent with you (I want to and I have to!). I’m not into the sleazeball money-making schemes. So I’ll never, ever recommend anything to you without actually loving it and using it myself just to make a dime. K!
Love you so much. Thanks for helping to support my blogging efforts.

Yeah baby!
All the best wear jeans don’t they. 517’s are one of my all-time favorites. 501’s the most iconic and most sought after. Can’t wait to see your Dwight Yoakam pic.
