Today I want to share a special client transformation with you. I’d love to introduce you to my client Kate. She’s a mom of 5 (š± yes, that’s right, mom of five) in her early thirties.
Not only is Kate one of the kindest women I’ve had the pleasure to get to know she’s also one of those people who just seem to be able to do it all.
But Kate was missing one thing: clothes to wear that made her feel good.
After baby 5 it was time to reconnect to herself and her next phase of life.
Sheās a US military veteran and has been a self-proclaimed tomboy her whole life.
At our first session, we reviewed her style discovery questionnaire but kept hitting a roadblock when it came to defining her personal style.
That is until we did this togetherā¦
While sitting on her porch, we pulled up her Pinterest board and I asked her my series of questions from Style Manifesto Framework to get to the heart of her true personality, needs, and style identity.
As we went over her Pinterest board together, a lot of the same images of jeans and a top kept popping up. These images showed women who donāt really represent her vibe at all. Something was still missing.
As a self-professed newbie to style, she did a great job gathering ideas. But I wanted to go deeper with her. We needed to get to the core of who she is, what she likes, and why she likes it.
Often times we may find ourselves wanting to fit in a box of a certain style that we think weāre supposed to like or wear.
We may not have the full language of style yet and can only visualize what we already know. But the hardest thing to do is visualizing what we don’t know.
And this is not a bad thing. Itās just a beginner thing and weāre all beginners at one point.
Itās my job to help her go deeper so the picture of the style she wants to embody becomes clear.
You canāt become what you donāt see.
So I ask, āWhat shows do you like to watch?ā
āNot much. Just Yellowstone.ā
š Shocker. I love the 1883 series myself.
As I search āYellowstoneā on Pinterest, I ask, āOk, tell me about the style of that show. Is there anyone on the show whose style you would steal?ā
I kind of know the show, but not a ton. Iām thinking of the spicey female lead who is equal parts blonde femme fatale and equal parts CEO.
āYes! This!ā my client excitedly exclaims.
Sheās looking at a photo of all the men decked out in Carharttās, jeans, and cowboy hats.
Yes!! Now, weāre on to somethingā¦Iām thinking.
But as soon as we get clarity, she pulls back a little doubtful. āI thought that was too boyish for me to be able to like itā.
The big lesson here is that, if you let yourself like what you like and be clear and unapologetic about that, you will find your style.
We talked about how to translate this āboyishā style into a more feminine style of dressing that suits her very busy and diverse lifestyle.
When not with her 5 beautiful kids, sheās the wing-woman to her real estate developer husband. They are a power team and regularly attend high-level private entrepreneur retreats, galas, and events.
In the end, I helped her outline the 4 distinct areas of her wardrobe that she will need to focus on to see the change in her personal style.
- Put together, elevated stay-at-home mom
- Elevated business casual for work trips with husband
- High-end event dressing
- Work clothes for around the farm
From here, we build ideas, define what we want the outcome to be, and shop, bringing it all together in 6-weeks.
Her transformation has been inspiring, going from having literally nothing to wear to having an actual style that she loves.

If youāre ready for a transformation like Kateās, Iāve got some incredible news to share with you. For a limited number of women, Iāll be opening up seats to my brand-new group program launching in January.
My goal is have 10-15 (max) women who want to transform their style and closet with the help of an expert stylist and a supportive community of like-minded ladies.
The minimum I’d need to get the group started would be five or six. So that’s my goal!
If youāve been following me for a long time then you might remember my online style course from 2018 called Simple Style.
It was one of those things where you wish you would have kept going with it. But at the time, I had no idea where to pivot from the first two launches.
After investing a ton into mentorship, programs, and consulting, and after working with dozens and dozens of clients since then, Iām finally ready to shift.
This group program is the culmination of everything Iāve learned from styling, shopping, and wardrobe editing over the last 12 years.
Not only is this going to be FUN, but itās going to help you finally figure out your style, learn to dress for your body, and get personal styling from me.
Imagine by the end of February, youāll have:
ā a clearly defined sense of your style
ā how to dress for your body
ā outfit combinations that you can easily mix and match as you need
ā a revamped closet that actually makes getting dressed a joy again
ā one-on-one styling with me to help you get clear on your personal style goals and needs
ā shopping resources tailored to you and your budget
This is your opportunity to create style that empowers you, boosts your confidence, and elevates your everyday life.
