Let’s be honest, most days I’m in my workout clothes all day while working from home.
For a long time now, I’ve been really wanting to upgrade everything, including my sleepwear, loungewear, and workout clothes.
It’s a slow process because sometimes I don’t know where to look for these items or which ones to purchase first.
So today we’re switching things up and I’m pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and I’m styling six casual and chic work-from-home outfits that feel so comfortable it’s almost like I’m wearing loungewear.
These six work-from-home outfits are both casual and chic, yet minimal and require practically zero effort. So if I have to quickly run an errand shoot a video, or meet up with a friend, I’m pretty much good to go.
My goal is to look put together for myself even if I’m just going to see one or two people or even no one at all. It matters for me and my mental health and productivity.
Comfort is key here though. It’s all about feeling comfortable and cozy and really just feeling like you’re wearing pajamas, even if you’re not. So I’m focusing on very minimal pieces that make me feel like I’m wearing loungewear but that helps me to feel a bit more dressed up.
Let me put it this way. You look more done up than you feel if you know what I mean.
Casual, chic, comfortable.
Today’s video is actually sponsored by LALORAS. They are an affordable silk pajama company that makes incredibly beautiful silk pajama sets for women and men, and silk accessories. You can use my discount code Brianna10 to get 10% off your entire order.
As I’ve ventured into learning more about fabrics and materials for my own personal wardrobe, I didn’t know that there are different grades of silk. When you’re shopping for silk at a normal retailer, some will actually use lower grades of silk, but still up-charge. Silk has a premium feel to it so it’s easy to fall for the up-charge. But what is so great about LALORAS is they actually use 100% pure Mulberry, grade 6A long strand silk. This is actually the highest quality silk. So it’s really incredible that you’re getting the highest quality silk, but you’re not having to pay the premium prices for it.
I feel super cozy and super chic in this silk set. And I’m soooo glad to finally have a “grown-up” chic PJ set. It’s only up from here. 😂
Even though silk wrinkles when you sleep in it, they come out easily in the wash. You can iron it on the silk setting if you really want to as well. All the wrinkles come out just fine. But if you’re not into ironing, just hang dry as quickly after wash. And if you’re curious, the pj’s stay shiny after washing. So they keep their chic appeal.
This is really wearable silk that fits into my lifestyle because I’m not the biggest fan of ironing.
I’m so excited to finally have a pair of silk pajamas because, honestly, my pajama game was really embarrassing so I’m excited to finally be on my way to building a better sleepwear and loungewear collection.
Even when I’m working from home, it’s important to me to do a few things to get ready and feel more confident.
So although these looks aren’t very done up, I’m still put together.
I’m not completely in shambles or in workout clothes or something like that. By the way, workout clothes are more than ok to wear daily. I mean, I do. But! I’m trying to get more out of my wardrobe and be more prepared to get out and about during my day. So do what works best for you.
Working from home, I’m still wearing grown-up clothes and I’m still somewhat presentable if somebody needs to come over or if I need to go out. And of course, when I work from home jewelry and makeup are still really important to me. I will throw on a little bit of lipstick or mascara.
I’ll still put on earrings, necklaces, and rings. That’s just for me to feel a little bit chicer, focused, and put together.
And because I don’t really have house shoes (that’s something I’m working on) all of my looks use the same leather ballet flat from Zara. But I think it’s irrelevant when you’re at home. Nobody’s going to see what you’re wearing. So it’s okay. Don’t worry about it.
I hope you feel inspired to treat yourself, to dress up a little a few days this week, and to try some new things with your wardrobe.
