Are you over shopping and have too many cheap items in your closet that just overwhelm and confuse you?
If you’re constantly wishing you could just have the perfect wardrobe figured out then I’ve got you covered.
In this week’s video, I’m going to give you the exact process you need to create your perfect wardrobe that I use with all my clients like Suzy who was able to totally transform her wardrobe, save time, own her style, and make nearly $2500 from her closet.
The first thing you have to do is to get crystal clear on what your style actually is. What you love, what you know actually works for you and what you’ll wear again and again.
Then you need to assess your current wardrobe. Really go through your clothing, shoes, accessories and ask yourself some serious questions about is an “almost” versus what is actually a “totally”.
What do I mean by that?
You may have a pair of jeans, a blouse, dresses, or skirts that you like. There’s something about them that really grabs you. But, you find that when you put it back on there are a few little things that make you go “Oh, yeah. This is why I don’t wear this…”
When you finish assessing your current wardrobe, make some money back.
Get rid of the things that are “almosts”. Set aside some time to sell these things online. I really recommend Threadup for mid-range brands and The Real R
The reason is because they have pre-paid mailer bags that you fill and send off.
Now, you need to think about the practical side of things.
What is your life like? Not any one of us has the same day. So you need to think about the practical things you might need to make your wardrobe come together.
Do you need rain boots, an umbrella, a chic waterproof trench coat? Do you need new comfortable kitten heals for the office, or nicer looking blouses to pair with trousers?
My advice is to prioritize your wardrobe needs before moving on to the fun stuff.
If you have all of your basics covered, then you can make the investment pieces your priority or
It’s time to start dreaming and scheming. What are your absolute must haves? Do dream of owning a certain investment/forever peice?
Ok to wrap this up, I want to say that this process of creating the perfectly refined dream wardrobe takes a lot of time and consideration unless you have the resources to invest all at once.
So make a plan on paper this week, start to assess your wardrobe so you can figure out what items you need practically speaking. Then I really encourage you to start dreaming. Create a Pinterest board of all your investment/forever pieces and start setting aside a small amount of money each week to make it happen.
Sell the clothes that you purged and put it toward some items that you need.
If all this sounds totally overwhelming and you’d like someone to help you figure out your personal style, assess your current wardrobe, and give you a step-by-step process to figure out the exact items you need in your wardrobe that will make the difference then I’d love to help you out.
