Back in September I got the chance to go to Franklin to see my friend Jeff Goins host an incredible conference for writers and entrepreneurs. This is the second year I’ve gone. It was a completely amazing weekend; so much learning, so many cool people, deep conversations, ample donut resources, and inspiring speakers.
The gauntlet has been thrown
At the end of the weekend Jeff gave me some generous coaching and recommended that I take all of my areas of expertise and write a 30 day devotional combining all my areas of love and expertise.
As you may know, I’ve been on a spiritual journey over the past year to get rid of my possessions, live a lighter more intentional life, and have more joy through simple living.
And for me what that has looked like is:
- paying off over $800 in credit card debt in a week by selling my furniture
- getting rid of clothing I’ve been holding on to for years
- devoting an hour every morning to spiritual nourishment
- learning to get up at 5:30 or 6:00
- spending $80 a week on groceries for two and not sacrificing on organics
- learning to debt stack so I can pay off my student loans and travel with my husband
- embracing an “exercise” routine that helped me lose about 10 pounds in 4 months and fit back into my jeans from college
- creating a capsule wardrobe that’s both ethical and fashionable
- learning to let go of worry, complaining, fear, and self-loathing (it’s truly awesome!)
There’s a lot more to it, but the heart of the issue is that I’m waking up. I’m taking charge of my life and learning to care for myself on a deeper level. More than anything I want others to have that too, because it’s literally one step away. It’s so much easier than you might think and all you need is a little push, a little guidance, encouragement, and love.
Profound change does not have to be complicated. It can actually be very simple.
30 women, 30 days
As I prepared to rally the troops, Jeff challenged me to make the project rock solid by not making it about my transformation but about the transformation of others.
He told me to reach out to 30 people, to hand pick them and give them free coaching in exchange for their feedback and time. For 30 days I will be posting a video assignment in a private Facebook group. I will be talking with 30 women in 30 one hour coaching calls helping them get a handle on their time and life. I will be posting in the Facebook group encouraging and answering questions.
And once the 30 days are up I will hopefully have a group of people who’ve experienced at least one major win in life and who feel lighter, happier, freer, and more centered.
Your input = invaluable
When all is said and done, around early December I’ll be able to give you a free version of this road-tested program. The plan is to take what we learned, the most potent parts of the 30 days, and give it away to you for free.
I’ve tried to create things in the past that I thought people wanted. Naturally, most of these ideas flopped because I wasn’t meeting people where they were in the moment. This is where you come in. I have 30 beautiful people invested, but I want to take it even further.
To make sure I’m really creating something that people genuinely need/want, I’d be extremely grateful for your input.
